Blackjack, also known as twenty-one, is a popular card game played in casinos worldwide. It is a comparing card game between one or more players and a dealer, where each player competes against the dealer rather than against each other.

Here’s how Blackjack is typically played:

1. Objective: The primary objective of Blackjack is to beat the dealer’s hand without exceeding a total of 21.
2. Card Values: In Blackjack, the cards are valued as follows:
   • Number cards (2 through 10) are worth their face value.
   • Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are each worth 10 points.
   • Aces can be worth either 1 or 11 points, depending on which value benefits the player’s hand more.
3. Gameplay: Each player is dealt two cards face up, while the dealer receives one card face up and one card face down (the hole card). Players take turns deciding whether to “hit” (receive another card) to improve their hand total or “stand” (keep their current hand total).
4. Winning: The player wins if their hand total is closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand total, without going over 21 (busting). If the player’s hand total exceeds 21, they lose automatically (bust). If the dealer busts, all remaining players win.
5. Blackjack: If a player is dealt an Ace and a card worth 10 points (10, Jack, Queen, King) as their initial two cards, they have a “Blackjack” or a “natural.” This typically pays out at 3:2 odds, unless the dealer also has a Blackjack, resulting in a push (tie).
6. Dealer’s Turn: After all players have finished their hands, the dealer reveals their hole card and must hit or stand according to specific casino rules. In most casinos, the dealer must hit until their hand total is 17 or higher.
7. Payouts: Players are typically paid even money for winning hands, except for Blackjack, which pays out at better odds (3:2).
